HEATHER DAWSON-SNEAD
Heather Dawson-Snead is a sixth generation Arizonan, but has lived in Durango for more than eight years. She lives with her husband, Robert, son Kelley Michael and new, baby daughter Indie Sophia, who is now giggling and screaming for joy!
Heather has worked at Sunshine Gardens for the over six years. During her tenure at Sunshine Gardens, Heather worked as caregiver, in the marketing department, was Administrator for several years, and is now working in the accounting department. Heather is proud to recognize she celebrated her son, Kelley's first birthday at Sunshine Gardens.
Prior to Sunshine Gardens, Heather worked as the office administrator for an environmental company in Durango. Heather earned her degree in Sociology and studied in elementary education, as well. She waitressed and was a telemarketing sales coach through her schooling years.
Heather, like her sister Holly, enjoys hiking, mountain biking, listening to music, watching comedy, being silly, and laughing.
When asked about Sunshine Gardens, Heather states: "It is so rewarding to work in a place where I can come from my heart first. You get what you give. The people who live here (and the Care Staff) inspire me every day to live life to the fullest and to not take my health, time, youth, and the love of my friends and family for granted. The family that owns Sunshine Gardens have a very special place in my heart… they have, without fail, given me support and love as if they were my own family. They inspire me to trust, have faith, work hard, and give more love to the world. The Hilgers truly want to continue to create an environment where seniors receive quality care; it sounds so cliché but it really is true! I will recommend Sunshine Gardens to my own grandparents when the time comes."
